3M 4910 is a clear, double-sided acrylic foam bonding tape. Its transparent construction suits assemblies where the bond line remains visible.
Construction and application fit
The manufacturer lists a typical applied thickness of 1.0 mm. Application examples include joining transparent materials, mounting translucent signs and bonding panels to frames. Glass, aluminum and other high surface energy substrates are relevant starting points for evaluation.
Selection and validation
Assess the visible bond line, joint movement, bond area and load direction. Transparent bonding still requires surface preparation and checks for bubbles or edge contamination. Test the actual plastic grade or coating; a clear appearance does not establish compatibility with every transparent material.
