3M 4026 is a double-coated urethane foam tape for mounting and assembly. Its foam construction is intended for interior applications and protected exterior locations.
Construction and application fit
The open-cell urethane foam creates a conformable mounting layer. Manufacturer application examples include mounting dispensers and air fresheners. This is a foam mounting tape; its construction and use should not be confused with thin adhesive transfer films.
Selection and validation
Check the mounting surface, required foam compression and the load direction before choosing the bond area. Test the assembled part under its expected temperature and moisture exposure. Exposed outdoor joints need a separate suitability review.
Converting and supply
For a quotation, send the mating materials, required roll width and length, quantity and destination. For shaped mounting pads, include a dimensioned drawing and liner-handling requirements. Confirm the exact supplied construction and current manufacturer data before approval.
